Sayani Gupta is an actress of film and TV who hails from Kolkata. She was born on 9th October 1985 in Calcutta, and she did her schooling from her hometown. She then completed her graduation from Lady Sri Ram College of Women, New Delhi. She then headed to Pune to do her graduation from FTTI. As she comes from a music family, hence her natural inclination was to enter into the field of glamour and acting. After her graduation from FTTI, she headed to Mumbai and got the chance to work in the film Margarita with a Straw working a blind Pakistani Bangladeshi girl in the year 2015. However, her debut started in 2012 with the film Second Marriage Dot Com.
In the year 2015, she did a couple of films including Parched and Leeches. In 2016, she did a couple of films Fan, Call Waiting, and Baar Baar Dekho. In the year 2017, she got the chance to do a couple of films including Jolly LLB 2, The Hungry, Jagga Jasoos, Jab Hary Met Sejal and Fukrey Returns. The year 2018 did not have any other film, while she is currently doing one called Article 15 which she is doing with Ayushmann Khurrana that would be releasing this year. Besides, the films she did a couple of web series including Inside Edge playing Rohini R in the Amazon Network in the year 2017, while the same year she had Kaushiki playing the lead role in it aired at Viu.
In the year 2019, she did the web series called Four More Shots Please playing the character called Damini aired at Amazon Network. Talking about her personal life, her hobbies Photography, travelling, listening to music and dancing. Her favourite actor is Shah Rukh Khan. She has been trained in different forms of dance including Bharatanatyam, the modern and classic forms of dance along with ballet. Talking about her personal life, she is still single and not dating anyone. She is currently focusing on her career.
