Finally the two films to be released on I Day 2018 came and these clashed thus going against the notion that two films cannot come along on the very same day. This has however, broken the myth in many ways. The I Day had Akshay Kumar starrer movie called Gold and John Abraham’s film Satyameva Jayate got their releases in the theatres and thus was seen giving the unexpected. Both the movies seemed doing tremendously well on their debut day as far as the box office collection went. Right from the early trends to the later ones, we saw the clash reaching to a good note. Both the movies had similar features, good content, nice word of mouth buzz in the media, which helped the two grow in a nicer way.
Both the films Gold & Satyameva Jayate had their audience ready to catch the movies people waiting to catch the movie seemed very much thrilled to watch the movies. At one end we had a masala entertainer while the other seemed an all together a complete patriotic movie and both were able to manage to leave a mark. A majority of the critics too have simply liked by both the audience and the others thus giving the two the additional brownie point for it. Now talking about the film Gold, the trends suggested a good figure and it achieved the kind of collection it has attached on the day one. This was primarily due to the advance booking that was created due to the word of mouth buzz, while the weekend will again have similar trends to catch.
Now, talking about the other film Satyameva Jayate starring John Abraham simply came like a complete surprise. The movie seemed to have outperformed as expected. Even though the movie had to face the U and A certificate, the strong word of mouth buzz for the film seemed high and unstoppable. The early and advanced trends once again proved that the film would have humongous collection falling at the range of 15-17 crores on the day one. So like the Gold, the John Abraham movie would also be doing the best at the box office during its first weekend. The content and other elements of the film have worked well for it.
