Sara Ali Khan Pays no Heed to her film Love Aaj Kal’s Comparision with her Father’s movie
History repeats itself and in B Town, we do not have to wait that long to see things. Love Aaj Kal the Imtiaz Ali film had Saif Ali Khan in the lead role with Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor Khan, now after a decade, we have same director coming up with the same title making a film in a modern version having Sara Ali Khan as the leading lady of the film. So, the comparison is obvious.
As the film is all set to hit the screens on 14th Feb, Valentine’s day, an apt eve to release a film of this genre, we see the romantic drama has everyone one can wish for with Kartik playing the leading man in it. Interestingly, we see both Saif playing a similar role with Deepika Padukone, which his daughter Sara seems to play in the 2020 Love Aaj Kal. However, when Sara was posed with this question, she remained unfazed about it. She gives no heed to the backlash she has faced after the release of the trailer.
While talking about it she said that although she respects everyone’s views but comparing the two films is not fair. She added that she is here to do things that please her rather than caring what others feel about her. She talked about her discussion with Imtiaz as to why he did not change the title. To which she said that the film according to Imtiaz has a timeless and relevant topic and that the idea of love remains different in different generations. Talking about her chemistry with Kartik she said people would realize after watching their film soon as it releases on V Day.
