The new poster features Sanya Malhotra holding a jackfruit (kathal) in her hand and she is surrounded by jackfruits. We also see Rajpal Yadav holding a camera hinting that maybe he is playing the role of a journalist in the film. Vijay Raaz can also be seen as a politician in the background.
Last year Netflix had released the film’s teaser which introduced the viewers to the strange case of robbery of a small-town politician’s two cherished jackfruits (kathal). Being it a robbery in a politician’s house, police officers are also hellbent to find the culprits. Rookie police officer Mahima, played by Sanya Malhotra, is determined to solve the mystery in order to establish her credentials.
Bankrolled by Guneet Monga Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor, under the banner of Sikhya Entertainment, Balaji Telefilms Ltd., the forthcoming flick also stars Anant V Joshi, Vikram Pratap, Neha Saraf, Govind Pandey and Aeklavya Tomer in key roles.
Meanwhile, apart from Kathal, Sanya Malhotra, will be next seen in Shah Rukh Khan’s action entertainer Jawan which is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on 2 June 2023. The actress is also working on Sam Bahadur, directed by Meghna Gulzar, where she will be seen alongside Vicky Kaushal and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
