Sanjay Dutt’s ‘Aakhri Sawal’ Trailer Set for Grand Launch on April 30

The anticipation surrounding Aakhri Sawal, starring Sanjay Dutt, is reaching a fever pitch. After a teaser release on Hanuman Jayanti that offered a rare look at the century-long history of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the makers have announced that the official trailer will debut tomorrow, April 30, 2026.

The trailer will be unveiled at a high-profile event in the presence of the full cast and crew. The film has already made headlines for its bold subject matter—reportedly examining historical events such as the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi and the internal questions that have shaped modern India.

Notable Returns: Neetu Chandra and Sameera Reddy

The film marks a significant return to the silver screen for actresses Neetu Chandra and Sameera Reddy, both of whom expressed that the project’s depth was the primary draw.

Neetu Chandra: Transitioning into roles that offer more than just “spotlight,” Neetu portrays a powerful media mogul. She described the film as a story that “lingers long after the lights go out.”

Sameera Reddy: Returning from a hiatus, Sameera admitted her own views on the RSS were shifted by the script. “This isn’t a film that reassures you—it unsettles you,” she shared, emphasizing her desire to return with a “fearless” narrative that sparks debate.

A First for Indian Cinema: Accessibility

In a groundbreaking move for the industry, Aakhri Sawal will be the first Hindi film to release with Indian Sign Language (ISL) integrated directly into its theatrical run. This initiative, led by producers Nikhil Nanda and Sanjay Dutt, aims to make high-stakes political drama accessible to the hearing-impaired community.

Production and Release

Directed by National Award winner Abhijeet Mohan Warang, the film is a collaborative effort between Nikhil Nanda Motion Pictures and Sanjay Dutt’s production house.

The Story: Written by Utkarsh Naithani, the plot follows an intelligent student, Vicky (Amit Sadh), who enters a high-stakes intellectual confrontation with his mentor, Professor Gopal Nadkarni.

The Cast: Alongside Dutt, the ensemble includes Namashi Chakraborty, Tridha Choudhury, Amit Sadh, and Zakir Hussain.

Music: Features a soundtrack by Monty Sharma with lyrics by Kumar Vishwas.

Originally slated for mid-May, the film’s release has been moved up. Aakhri Sawal is now set to hit theaters nationwide on May 8, 2026.
