Sandeepa Dhar signs ‘Mumbhai’, will disrupt love between police and gangster
Hindi cinema actress Sandeepa Dhar will be seen in Ekta Kapoor’s next web series ‘Mumbhai’. It is a crime drama series that will cover the journey from the 90s to the year 2000. Sandipa will play the lead actress in this series.
When asked about the series, Sandeepa said, “Yes! I am doing this series. At the moment, I cannot give you any information about it. But, soon I will talk about it. This is a very beautiful love story. I am sure that the audience will surely like it.
Sandeepa is working very hard all the way to get herself fully into the character. She is paying a lot of attention to her language, dialect, body language, dancing and acting, according to the story and her career. Since she is a theater artist, her acting is very natural. Still, she does not want to miss any character in her role.
This web series is being made together by Zee5 and Alt Balaji. Its story will highlight the relationship between police and gangsters. Angad Bedi and Sikander Kher will also be seen in the lead roles in this series along with Sandeepa Dhar. Angad’s character is that of a police officer, which largely matches the life of Mumbai’s Encounter Specialist Daya Nayak.
Sandipa Dhar started her career in Hindi cinema with the 2010 film Isi Life Mein. She was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for her performance in the film. She was also nominated for the Star Screen Award for Most Promising Newcomer and the Stardust Award for Superstar of Tomorrow.
