This Friday, we had two films releasing, which include Sanam Teri Kasam. The film has debutantes – Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane. However, in terms of occupancy and box office collection, the film was a disaster for obvious reasons. The film was poorly promoted over the media plus it was having low star value that did the rest damage and thirdly the film had a huge competition with Sunny Deol directed and starred film Ghayal Once Again. Thus to see a surge in box office was certainly not possible to be seen for the film. Also, the film couldn’t manage to get enough good applauds from the critics, which made things bad to worse.
As per reports, the film had limited screen, which are around 800 screens wherein the film was released. However, the trade pundits and experts are bit hopeful considering the fact that the genre of romance and love could save the movie provided the film is able to collect good amount of word of mouth buzz for it. However, looking at the low figure of first day, the probability to witness a better collection could be compromised. As per reports, the first day box office collection tolled to around 1.20 crores, which isn’t a great figure. Well, let’s see how things unfold in the first weekend for the film.
