Sam Manekshaw biopic starring Vicky Kaushal to hit the floor in 2021
For the Uri actor, Vicky Kaushal the biopic on the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw by Meghna Gulzar is a 2021 venture. It is an honor for the actor to play first Field Marshal of the country who remains the most decorated officers in the Indian Army. He had spoken about this honor earlier stating that he is truly honored to be the part of the film and that Marshal is among a few true legends that the nation has produced. He said he is excited to play his role in the said movie.
Currently, he is busy with his film Sardar Udham Singh and it has completely occupied him. Thus this has made the actor wait for two more years to start the said biopic as he has worked hard and prepare more to play the said character leaving no stone unturned to get the crux of the same. Field Marshal Manekshaw also is known as Sam Bahadur hails from Punjab and was born on April 3, 1914, in Amritsar. He defied death on many occasions in the battlefield. His contribution to the Indo Pak War in 1971 is still remembered.
Talking about the same, Vicky said that his parents are from Punjab and they have watched the 1971 war between India and Pakistan. This was the time when the nation heard the speeches of Indira Gandhi the PM and Sam Manekshaw radio to embolden people. Talking about the biopic, the actor said that he was completely blown up when he heard the story for the first time. This will be his third patriotic film in B Town, while he said he can easily get connected with such films making him choose the same.
