Dilwale 1st Week Box Office Report – Moving Slow and Steady

Dilwale 1st Week Box Office Collection

This Christmas Season, the B Town had two movies – Dilwale and the magna opus of Sanjay Leela Bhansali called Bajirao Mastani. Talking about Dilwale, the film had a decent opening, yet it failed to get the collection, which both the films of Salman Khan – Bajrangi Bhaijaan & Prem Ratan Dhan Payo managed to get. Also, Bajirao Mastani posed itself a big competition ahead. And let’s not forget the controversies that mired Dilwale due to SRK intolerance statement, in fact the actor has blamed the same for the collection getting hampered at the end of first week.

Dilwale took seven days to enter the 100 crore club, while all his earlier films managed to reach the same figure with not less than in their first weekend. So, as per reports, the 1st week box office collection tolled to around 102.8 crores. The first weekend were around 50 cores, while rest of the weekdays, the figure for each day tolled in between 9 to 10 crores making the hundred crore club figure after the first week.

With this the Rohit Shetty film has become the seventh highest grocer of 2015, however, when the film reached to the Thursday, Dilwale managed to beat the lifetime collection of Akshay Kumar Baby and the multistarrer film Welcome Back. Since this Friday and even the upcoming weekend, there is hardly any release coming, you can therefore Dilwale moving with the same pace. Let’s see how things move with coming second weekend of the film.
