Siddharth Anand Engages in Meaningful Dialogue with Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar; Calls White a Story of India’s Glory

On January 20, acclaimed filmmaker Siddharth Anand met with global spiritual leader Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, accompanied by producer Mahaveer Jain, for a special interaction. Though both Anand and Gurudev have shared conversations before, this meeting held a unique depth of reflection and vision, centered around Anand’s upcoming international thriller White — a film poised to be a landmark in Indian cinema.
Starring National Award winner Vikrant Massey alongside an international cast, White draws inspiration from the remarkable true story of Colombia’s 52-year civil conflict and its historic resolution through non-violence and peace.
Reflecting on the film’s message after the meeting, Siddharth Anand expressed, “In many ways, White is the story of the glory of India. At a time when the world is witnessing unprecedented divisions, this film is truly the need of the hour. It doesn’t just tell one person’s story; it embodies the profound strength and influence of Indian values and philosophies on the global stage.”
He further shared about Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, “Sitting with Gurudev is an incredibly grounding experience. His presence reaffirms what White aims to capture — the true power of peace.”
About the Film
