Salman Khan Faces Death Threats; Mumbai Police Receive ₹5 Crore Extortion Demand

Following the recent assassination of political figure Baba Siddique, security measures around Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and his family have been significantly heightened. In an alarming development, Salman Khan has reportedly received a fresh death threat directed to the Mumbai Traffic Police. The threatening message, sent via WhatsApp, demands Rs 5 crore for the actor’s safety and warns of severe consequences if the payment is not made.
Authorities, however, have suggested that the threat might be a ‘prank.’ The sender ominously claimed that Salman Khan would face a fate worse than that of the recently murdered NCP leader Baba Siddique if the ransom went unpaid. The message also mentioned Lawrence Bishnoi, a notorious gang leader previously linked to threats against Salman Khan. While the Mumbai Police have initially dismissed the message as a prank, they have launched an investigation to identify the individual responsible for the threat.
A police official emphasized that they are treating the matter with utmost seriousness and are exploring all potential angles. Reports indicate that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang had previously plotted a larger-scale attack on Salman Khan, suggesting a credible threat to the actor’s life. For context, Baba Siddique was shot outside his son’s office in Bandra, Mumbai, leading to four arrests in connection with the case. Siddique had a close relationship with Salman Khan and his family, further complicating the situation.
While Lawrence Bishnoi has made claims about involvement in the attack, the police are diligently investigating any links. In the meantime, extensive security precautions have been implemented to safeguard Salman Khan and his family amid these troubling developments.
