Saisha Shinde, a trans woman who used to go by the name Swapnil Shinde before undergoing sex reassignment surgery, is one of the show’s most talked-about candidates. Shinde has been outspoken about her battle to be accepted in society as a trans woman. Saisha was irritated and saddened after Karanvir Bohra referred her as ‘he’ owing to a slip of the tongue in a recent episode. This became a hot topic of conversation, with inmates expressing their displeasure with Karanvir incorrectly referring to Saisha as “he.”
It all started when Saisha Shinde was upset and annoyed with the makers because she couldn’t use the smoking room. Talking to the cameras, she expressed her anger saying, ‘You can’t do this to us.” Karanvir, after seeing this, went to her and tried to pacify her and he then discussed it with ‘kaidis’ how Saisha has put down the issue in front of the makers. During his course of conversation, Bohra by mistake, referred to Saisha ‘he’ which annoyed her. An upset Saisha told him, “First and foremost, it’s not he, it’s she.”

Later, Nisha Rawal noticed that Saisha Shinde was upset, so she requested everyone to be careful with their words when speaking to her. When Munawar Faruqui saw Rawal stretching it, he told her to keep it short because the issue shouldn’t be extended because it triggers Saisha. Later, Saisha Shinde spoke about it on the show, saying that she is glad it happened because now people will understand how much anguish a trans woman goes through simply to be called ‘he/she.’ She also provided examples of how these things irritate her.

Saisha also concerned this with Karanvir and disclosed that her mother sometimes calls her Swapnil so she understands that because of a slip of tongue such things happen. “You know my mom calls me Swapnil sometimes, a lot of time. Now if I can understand my mother’s agony, I can completely understand. So, wo slip of tongue ki wajah se hota hai, wo sab mujhe pata hai,” she said.
