Last month Bhushan Kumar had announced the Hindi remake of Tamil action thriller Thadam with Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead. Now the film has finally got its lead actress and it is none other than Mrunal Thakur.
Sharing the news, Mrunal wrote on her instagram,”It’s time for a face off. @adityaroykapur are you ready? Super excited to work in the Hindi remake of the Tamil hit #Thadam to be directed by Vardhan Ketkar. Produced by #Bhushan Kumar’s @tseries & Muradkhetani’s @cine1studios.”
Thadam is a Tamil language action thriller film released in 2019. The film starred Arun Vijay in a double role. In the film, police officers try to solve a murder case involving lookalike suspects arrested on the basis of a pictorial evidence.
Aditya Roy Kapur will be seen in Arun Vijay’s role and he will be seen in a double role for the first time. Mrunal Thakur has now joined the cast of the film. Helmed by debutante filmmaker Vardhan Ketkar, the film will be bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar of T-Series and Murad Khetani.
On the workfront, Mrunal will next be seen in ‘Jersey’ opposite Shahid Kapoor. The film is a sports drama film directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. It is a remake of the 2019 superhit Telugu film of the same title.
