Saif Ali Khan breaks his silence on Bollywood films failing at the box office
Bollywood’s Vikram, aka Saif Ali Khan, recently spoke about Hindi cinema’s continuing flops at the box office. As we all know, his last film, “Vikram Vedha,” couldn’t gain the audience’s attention despite so much hype even before its release. When the film went to theatres, it flopped badly with no positive word-of-mouth. Now, Saif has opened up about the failure of his film and the increasing salaries of actors in the industry.
In his recent conversation with the media, Saif Ali Khan termed the worst box-office performance of high-budget movies as “extremely disappointing.” He was surprised and had no clue why a film like Vikram Vedha couldn’t perform well. Not only that, but he also expressed his thoughts on rising actor fees.

Here’s what Saif Ali Khan said:
Speaking to the media, the actor said, “We expected Vikram Vedha to perform well, but it didn’t happen.” These days, nobody knows which film will do well at the box office and which won’t.
When asked about most Bollywood movies failing at the box office, he said, “I don’t know why it is happening. But there must be some reason. People are constantly making movies, so actors’ fees will fluctuate. However, some stars are charging a lot. They pay so much to these celebrities while getting nothing good in return.”
He further added, “Only 2% of the population spends money to watch movies.” “If it increases by 2 to 20, the industry will thrive for sure.”
About Vikram Vedha
Talking about his film, Vikram Vedha, starring Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles, was made on a big budget of Rs. 100 crore. Unfortunately, it could only gross Rs. 78 crores, making it a box office flop.
Directed by Pushkar Gayatri, it was a Hindi adaptation of a Tamil superhit film of the same name. Now, the actor will be seen in Om Raut’s film “Adipurush” alongside Prabhas and Kriti Sanon.
