Saad Khan may not be a very popular name in Bollywood yet an important person to be known by people having interest in movies and film making. He is a film director, acting teacher, screenwriter and the founder of a talent hunt company called Centerstage wherein he plays the role of creative. His company is into creating new wave media movement in Bangalore by promoting new talents and creative artist. Khan is born in Mumbai but was brought up in Bangalore. He did his schooling from Baldwin Boys and St. Joseph High School and later went to do his Mechanical Engineering from MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology.
During his engineering he developed his interest for writing screenplays and doing theatre plays. He was barely 17, when he started doing so. He even directed plays and soon produced 12 different plays with his theatre group during his student life of four years of engineering. He then went to pursue his career in films and media leaving his engineering incomplete. He went to US to do his course in filmmaking and thus joined Tisch School of the Arts, New York University to pursue his dreams of art and acting. Later he did his Masters in Communication and Media from the prestigious University of Louisiana at Lafayette for which he was awarded scholarship.
He then went ahead wrote two short movies called Another Kind of Black and On My Mind. One of these two short film was awarded at Cannes Film Festival and other was screened at Acadiana Film Festival. When he returned to India, he assisted the veteran director Ashutosh Gowariker for the movie Khelien Hum Jeen Jaan Sey. He later formed his own company called Centerstage at Bangalore to promote the media and acting buzz in the city among the young talents and creative artists. He then was signed for his debut movie called Station by Sumit Ghosh, which hit in March 2014. He also produced a couple of show under the banner of his own company. He and his team has toured to many places both in India and abroad to perform a number of plays and shows.
One of his popular play is The Improv wherein he gets some live performances right on the spot. He has done a number of this particular show in India and even performed internationally overseas getting a good response in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. He also owns his production company called Gold Chase Motion Pictures wherein he promotes a number of movies and commercial for various clients. The same company produced his debut movie Station in Bangalore and in Mumbai. This man is exceptionally talented and has been conferred with two prestigious awards including- Young Achiever in Media by Whistling Woods International and Award in Recognition for Excellence in Media by Symbiosis International University.
