RRR Pre-Release Event: Police resorted to lathi-charge on fans, here’s what happened!
South films have recently began to feature major events in order to generate a lot of attention. In the midst of the pandemic, the Radhe Shyam team launched their trailer in Hyderabad, and KGF: Chapter 2 will follow suit in Bangalore. In the midst of it all, the RRR pre-release event took place yesterday and went horribly wrong.
To begin, the celebration was scheduled for Saturday evening in Agalagurki village in Chikkaballapur over 60-80 acres of land. The occasion was attended by SS Rajamouli, Jr NTR, and Ram Charan. They chatted about their upcoming historical drama, RRR, and paid respect to Puneetth Rajkumar.
According to Filmibeat, the RRR pre-release event was set to start at 6 p.m. As a result, fans faced a variety of challenges, including blistering heat, dust, and confrontations owing to high footfalls, in order to be a part of SS Rajamouli’s movie. Nothing, however, started on schedule.
When the anchors Suma and Anushri graced the stage after considerable delay, the enraged spectators threw their slippers and bottles. Some members of the mob even threw their slippers at the officers, causing the situation to spiral out of hand.
To regain control of the situation, police had to resort to lathi-charge. Several people were hurt when they collided into gates. The good news is that, despite all of the problems, the RRR event went on as planned and was a success.
Basavaraj Bommai, the Chief Minister of Karnataka, State Health Minister Sudhakar, and Kannada star Shivaraj Kumar were also in attendance.
