It’s the eighth anniversary of veteran actor Shammi Kapoor yesterday when his nephew and actor Rishi Kapoor was seen sharing a throwback photos on social media while remembering him. He posted the photo on Microblogging site – Twitter and then captioned stating- Remembering Shammi Kapoor who left this world in 2011 and then said he was a great star in Bollywood and we have no one like him again.
As we remember the great actor, he gave a number of movies to the B Town which includes China Town, An Evening in Paris, Vidhata, Brahmachari, Sachaai, Tumse Accha Kaun Hai, Kashmir Ki Kalee, and Budtameez to name a few. He also bagged the best actor award at Filmmaker for the film Brahmachari in the year 1969 apart from getting the Best Supporting Actor for the film Vidhaata in the year 1982. The actor was also known as India’s Elvis Presley until the very last day in 2011 when he left this world due to chronic renal failure.
While Rishi Kapoor who is his nephew is in the US for the treatment of cancer and he has informed his fans on social media that he is fine and needs just a few more weeks treatment before he finally returns to India. As per reports, he is likely to return next month in September. He said that his health is improving with every passing day and that he is fit to return soon. He said he has lost 26 kgs of his weight as he has no appetite for a few months during the treatment. However, now he has gained seven kgs.
