Aamir Khan talks on gender inequality & social evils in Indian society at NY summit
Aamir Khan is known for his social activism apart from being called as Mr. Perfectionist in BTown. The actor who is known for his incredible acting and giving strong social message through his movies like Taare Zameen Par, Rang De Basanti, PK, etc. is in New York Submit. He is representing the country on a submit discussing social evils present in different societies. It was the Sixth Annual Women meet at the known World Summit in New York.
He discussed about female foeticide, honor killing, gender inequality and other social evils found in Indian society against women in the said summit. He said change can be brought by simply reaching out to people with the message handling with love and care. Discussing about the same, he also cited out his initiative in the form of a TV show called Satyamev Jayate, which created the awareness about the social stigma found among Indian women and others in our society.
He dealt with different issue based discussions in the said summit right from problems like female foeticide, dowry, caste system, honor killing, masculinity, etc. Speaking about the social evils found in India, he also encouraged people to act against this social sickness and help everyone to reconstruction of our society, which will be free from all the social evils. Certainly, his efforts are commendable, who every well understands his role as a responsible celebrity in India. The initiatives like Satyamev Jayate is a classic example of his social persona, which is not much witnessed in other Bollywood stars.
