Rhea Chakraborty is a Telugu and Bollywood film actress and a VJ over MTV India. She started her TV career in 2009 with a reality show called TV Scooty Teen Diva telecasted over MTV wherein she stoon the first runner up. Later she gave the audition for VJ at MTV Delhi and got the chance to be the VJ at the show. She even organised a number of MTV shows including the Tic Tac College Beat, Pepsi MTV Wassup, Fantastic Five (with Ayushman Khurana), MTV Gone in 60 Seconds, etc. In the year 2012, she was seen doing her first Telugu movie called Tunnega Tuneega wherein she played the character of Nidhi. In the year 2013, she was finally seen in a Bollywood movie called Mere Dad Ki Maruti a comedy by Ashima Chibber playing the character of Jasleen. Currently, she has two films in the row, which including Sonali Cable by Rohan Sippy and the other one called Babbu Ki Jawai.

Her father is a Bengali, while her mother comes from Konkan. She did her schooling from various places in Pune and also certain portion in Bengal, however, after hear schooling she went for her Mass Communication and Media degree. After her graduation, she joined MTV as VJ wherein she got introduced to Aditya Roy Kapoor who was also one of the VJs there at the channel. The two fell in love and dated each other for quite some time. During this time, she simply rose her popularity as one of the most fun loving and gorgeous VJs found over MTV channel.

She always remained in the media discussion for her love affairs. After her breakup with Aditya Roy Kapur, she was then linked with Ayushman Khurana. The rumor mill continued spinning different rumors for her and even made started showcasing her that she is married. In fact, soon she turned out one of the vital search results of different search engines like Google or Yahoo wherein people searched her to known whether she is married or not considering her popularity over MTV. However, every time when she was asked about her marital status she kept on denying it and claiming that she is not in the mood to settle down.
