Release of Junaid Khan-Sai Pallavi’s Mere Raho Postponed to Summer 2026 Amid Busy December Slate

The romantic drama Mere Raho, starring Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi, has had its release date shifted from the originally planned December 12, 2025, to a summer 2026 window, with industry insiders pointing to July as the likely launch period. Produced by Aamir Khan Productions, the film’s delay comes amid a crowded end-of-year lineup featuring major releases like Dhurandhar and a high-profile romantic comedy starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday.
Filming and post-production for Mere Raho wrapped up earlier this year, with principal photography completed by April 2025. Aamir Khan, who is personally overseeing the film’s marketing, reportedly played a key role in revising the release strategy to maximize the film’s commercial potential.
A source familiar with the decision told Mid-Day, “December is a high-pressure corridor. With several big-budget films releasing then, it would have been tough for a content-driven romance like Mere Raho to find its footing.”
The source added, “July offers better legroom. The film needs time to build through word of mouth and controlled screen density, which the summer window can provide.” Mere Raho is a Hindi remake of the 2016 Thai romance One Day, directed by Sunil Pandey. The film marks Sai Pallavi’s Hindi debut and pairs her heartfelt screen presence with Junaid Khan’s rising popularity, making it a promising summer offering for urban audiences.

While an official release date has yet to be announced, industry watchers expect a formal announcement soon as pre-release promotions gear up. The shift to summer 2026 is seen as a strategic move to give Mere Raho the best chance to shine without competing against heavyweight year-end releases.
