Reeth Mazumdar is an actress and model who hails from Calcutta, West Bengal. With the background of Bengali family, her childhood had all the typical elements seen in any Bengali family. Thus literature, art, drama, dance and music have been the part and parcel of his childhood. Thus she has a good impact of poetries by Rabindranath Tagore and the films of Stayajit Ray. Her family had novelists, film editors and lawyers. So, it is no surprise to see her taking the path of films and glamour world as her career. When she was 4 years old, she got into the training in classical dance and soon she transformed herself into dancing icon pursuing her dreams over the silver screen.
After completing her studies, she knew what to do, so, she simply headed to Mumbai to finish her education. When she headed to Mumbai along with her family in 2000 she was already a graduate in English and soon chose an additional course in script writing, marketing and radio marketing. Soon she started her modeling along with appearing at a number of TV commercial and soon turned a regular base for a number of cosmetic brands. In 2010, she auditioned for an Indian – Italian movie called Visible Bra Strap, which went on to participate 25 International film festivals all acorss the world and even has won a couple of prizes including Audience choice award, Best Experimental film, Best Drama and Golden Palm.
After getting applauds for the film, Reeth Mazumder then went on to get another project called The Au Revoir, which bagged the prize for the Best Romance category in a number of film festivals in Europe. She travelled to a number of places doing different movies. And when she returned to India in 2012, she got the chance to do another English feature movie called Swen made under the production house of Let’s Ring The Bell Productions. The film got similar sort of treatment. In 2013, she was voted as the 39th position for FHM India for the top 100 nookyiest Women of the World. She then did another film called Porobashinee along with a French title film La fille venue d’ailleurs and the following year she then shot for the film called Nainital Diaries. Her upcoming film is an erotic mystery film called Scandall, which is all set to release soon.
