Raveena Tandon Apologizes to Fans, Reveals Photo Request Anxiety Stemming from Traumatic Mumbai Incident
Raveena Tandon recently opened up about her anxiety when approached for photos while alone, a feeling that intensified after a distressing incident in Bandra, Mumbai. In that incident, she was falsely accused of being drunk and causing a car accident—accusations that were later cleared by the Mumbai police.
Sharing her experience on social media, Raveena recounted a moment in London when she panicked and hurried away after being approached by a group of fans asking for selfies. On September 12, she took to social media to apologize to those fans for not taking pictures with them, explaining that the Bandra incident left her feeling traumatized and cautious in similar situations. She expressed, “Hi, I just want to clarify that a few days ago in London, while I was walking, a few men approached me. Given my concerns about the local crime situation, I instinctively withdrew when they asked if I was who I am. My first reaction was to deny it and walk away quickly, as I was alone. They just wanted a picture, and normally I would oblige, but the previous incident in Bandra has left me a bit nervous and shaken.
When I’m with others, I feel fine, but I still get anxious when I’m by myself.”Raveena added, “I probably should have taken a photo with them, as they might have been innocent fans, but I panicked and asked a security guard for help instead. I felt terrible afterward and want to apologize to them through this medium if they’re reading. It was never my intention to offend. I’m truly sorry and hope to meet you again for a photo. I always strive to be accessible and down-to-earth, but sometimes I falter. I hope you understand that I shouldn’t have panicked.”In June, a man alleged that Raveena’s driver had hit his mother and that she had assaulted her while under the influence. However, police investigations, including a review of CCTV footage from the Khar building where the incident supposedly occurred, revealed that the women were near the actress’s car but were not struck by it.
