Rashmika Mandanna opens up about getting trolled for her kissing scene with Vijay Deverakonda in ‘Dear Comrade’
Currently promoting her movie “Goodbye,” Rashmika Mandanna has spoken out about the internet criticism she received for her kiss scene in “Dear Comrade.” The actress experienced cruel trolling after having a kiss with Vijay Deverakonda in the romance drama that will be released in 2019. Rashmika recently discussed how she handled criticism and persistent trolling in an interview. She claimed that reading negative things about her was “awful,” and she used to weep herself to sleep.
Speaking with Zoom, the Pushpa actress stated, “The second it happened, it carried on for months. It was this, that, whatever. And there were so many painful moments happening and painful things I was reading, I was seeing. I have been through that. And I would have constant dreams where you know you feel like you are the only one and everyone has turned their back on you and you are calling out for them. That was a constant dream, I don’t know what it was and I don’t know how it was. I would wake myself up with such dreams and cry myself to bed, or even wake up crying.”
Mandanna continued by saying that because she didn’t want to upset her family, she couldn’t even tell them what she was going through. The central character of Bharat Kamma’s film “Dear Comrade,” Bobby (Vijay Deverakonda), falls in love with Lilly (Rashmika) and finds it difficult to understand that she no longer wants him in her life. The movie was a success at the box office, and Rashmika and Vijay’s chemistry in it was adored by viewers. Their intense kissing sequence attracted a lot of attention and became a popular topic of conversation at the time.
