This man is known as an actor who is also known to be a former VJ. He hails from Jalandhar wherein he was born and brought up. He finished his schooling from Model Senior Secondary School based in Jalandhar, Punjab. Though he dated the known filmmaker Pooja Bhatt, but later got settled down with the marriage with his old time good friend Konkana Sen in 2010. The couple has a son called Haroon, which they gave delivered in 2011 at one of the leading hospitals in South Bombay. Though he hails from Punjab, but his love to be in the glamorous world brought up in the city of dreams called Mumbai.
Wiki : Ranvir Shorey started his career working with a couple of TV shows and programs and later became a VJ. These shows include the talk show called Ranvir Vinay Aur Kaun and the popular comedy show – The Great Indian Comedy Show, both aired at the channel- STAR One. He then got his debut-acting role in a movie called Ek Chhotisi Love Story in 2002 in opposite to Manisha Koirala. Though the movie turned a flop over the box office, yet his performance got a positive review, which gave him other projects as well. Since then it was not looking back for him. His very next movie was Mahesh Bhatt’s movie called Jism in 2003 and Farhan Akhtar’s Lakshya in 2004. His performance was critically acclaimed for a couple of movies including Bheja Fry, Traffic Single and the commercial hit called Mithya in 2008.
Some of his other movies, which garnered him positive reviews include comedy Pyaar Ke Side Effects, Khosla Ka Ghosla, Aaja Nachle, Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd, Singh is Kinng, Ugly Aur Pagli. Currently he is hosting the popular show called Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (Season 7), which is telecasted over Set India. Some of his recent movies include Bajate Raho, Ek Tha Tiger and Winds of Change, while currently he is working on a film called Titli. Though he was nominated in a number of award functions, however, failed to bag any award for different categories including Best Supporting Role male.
