If you check the recent updates of Box office especially about the film Rangoon then it has dropped miserably over the second weekend. The film has shown a drop of as big as over 90 percent over the second Friday and the rest of the days in the second weekend the collection figures went the same. On its eighth day, the film only managed to collect merely 20 lakhs which is in the range of Jolly LLB 2‘s collections in its fourth Friday. In fact, the similar figures were seen in the second weekend as well – Saturday and Sunday wherein the collection remained in the similar ways.
Now, if you check the recent data, the film has managed to get a bad collection. As per reports, the film now stands with a collection of 22.50 crores at the domestic box office. The period drama is struggling to find audiences at the multiplexes which were the key target audience, considering Vishal Bharadwaj’s niche reach.
The film has Kangana Ranaut, Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles, who have come together the first time in Bollywood, while Saif and Shahid have worked earlier with the director with films like Omkara and Haider respectively in the past. But if you check the collection of film Rangoon, it has turned out to be a disastrous affair at the box office with merely over 20 crore business in its first week. It is expected to fold soon with the new releases and also a big release like Badrinath Ki Dulhania in the next week.
