Ranbir Kapoor’s first ever movie getting nominated at the Oscars

Do you know that Ranbir Kapoor has been the part of the film called Karma which is directed by Abhay Chopra who happens to be the grandson of the veteran filmmaker B R Chopra? The film will be screened over YouTube during the Banra Film Festivals on 5th May 2021. The film happens to be a 26 minutes short film and it is screened under the category of A Point Across. The movie talks about the resolve the issue of capital punishment found in India and the jailer who faces the tough time for executing his own son.

The film bagged the nomination at Students Oscars at the said award function. Besides Ranbir Kapoor one can see the film coming along with an interesting star cast with actors like Sharat Saxena of the film Ghulam, Baadshah and Bajrangi Bhaijaan who plays the role of a Jailer, while the film’s actor has Milind Joshi and Sushovan Banerjee too feature the pivotal roles. While talking about his experience working with Ranbir the filmmaker Abhay Chopra said that the movie has an important star cast. 

He further said that the subject was important as it talked about the capital punishment when the issue was raised after Heal Parekh was pushed for debate. Karma seems to be a fictional cast which is inspired by the Dhananjay case and she seemed to have got the media attention of the National Media.
