Ranbir Kapoor was the first man to be approached by the makers of the film Kapoor & Sons for playing the homosexual character; however, his rejection led the same to the Pak heartthrob called Fawad Khan. But as of now, the tables have turned; the actor now is reception to the idea of playing a gay role over the silver screen in any B Town film.
He was seen being interviewed by the Vogue magazine to which he was seen giving his cool photo in its cover page wherein he was seen opening up for her personal and professional life as well. The Bombay Velvet actor lauded the modern day actors to consider risking roles like Fawad Khan in Kapoor & Sons and Alia Bhatt in Udta Punjab.
When he was asked whether he would also play a role unlike Fawad Khan, he nodded and said that Khan has done things simple now by opening gates to the same so for him it will be a simple thing to consider though earlier he had turned it down. He is also keen to play the second lead but have some conditions applied to the role. He then cited out an example that if he gets a role of Circuit in any of the Munnabhai movie series by Hirani, he is happy to do it.
Currently Ranbir Kapoor is living his grand mom Krishna and is undergoing training for his upcoming movie called Dragon by Ayan Mukherji. He also is waiting to see his film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil doing wonders at the box office along with his most awaited movie Jagga Jasoos with Katrina is also in the queue. After Dragon he would be doing the biopic of Sanjay Dutt.
The actor has a couple of high and low in his career with films like Raajneeti, Wake Up Sid, Rocket Singh, Rockstar, Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani and Barfi, he has been applauded a lot, however, with films like Besharam and Bombay Velvet he was seen the lows and yes even Roy had to put some stains over his clean career. He also talked about his drinking problem, which has caught of late but he is becoming conscious about the same now.
