The makers of Salman Khan’s film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan released the video for the single Yentamma yesterday. Salman and Venkatesh Daguppatti shake their legs together in the three-minute song, which has been trending on social media since its release. But it was Ram Charan’s special appearance in the song that drew everyone’s attention.
But did you know Ram Charan did not charge Salman Khan a single rupee to be a part of this fun performance number? Salman revealed this a few months back at a press conference for Chiranjeevi’s Telugu political action drama ‘Godfather’ (2022).
In response to a reporter’s question about Ram Charan’s appearance in the song at Godfather’s press meet, Salman said, “When Venky and I were shooting in Hyderabad, Ram Charan came to watch.” He stated, “I’d like to do this.” I initially said no, but he requested that I be in the same frame as you and Venkatesh. He must have been joking, I thought. I suggested we discuss it tomorrow. Surprisingly, the next morning, even before I arrived, he was on location with his van and costume. That’s how he ended up in the film, and we had a wonderful time shooting.”
For those who are unaware, Salman Khan and Ram Charan’s father Chiranjeevi are close friends, and Salman recently appeared in Chiranjeevi’s political thriller ‘Godfather.’ (2022), and he did not charge any money for it. Hence, Ram Charan also decided to return the favor by doing a short cameo in their song ‘Yentamma’.
