Rakesh Roshan Shares Major Update on Hrithik Roshan’s Krrish 4 — “Film to Release in 2027”

2025 has been a landmark year for the Roshan family, marked by several milestones. The year kicked off with the release of The Roshans on Netflix, followed by the re-release of the classic Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai (2000). It also marked Hrithik Roshan’s 25 years in the film industry, celebrated with great fanfare. Just two months later, it was announced that Hrithik would take the director’s chair for Krrish 4, succeeding his father, Rakesh Roshan.

In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama on his 76th birthday, Rakesh Roshan offered a significant update on the much-anticipated Krrish 4.Known for his meticulous planning and detailed production schedules, Rakesh revealed, “The script didn’t take a lot of time. The pressure was the budgeting. Now that we have an idea of the definite budget required for this film, we’ll be starting the film.

”Highlighting the disciplined approach the Roshan family is known for, he added, “The work is going on in full swing. We are planning to start shooting by the middle of next year. The pre-production is more extensive for this film, so we need to be well-prepared before going on floors.”When asked if filming would continue until the end of 2026,

Rakesh confirmed it would. Regarding the release, he stated, “We plan to release it in 2027.”Krrish 4 is the fourth installment in the blockbuster superhero franchise, following Koi Mil Gaya (2003), Krrish (2006), and Krrish 3 (2013)—all directed by Rakesh Roshan. Notably, Krrish 4 marks the first collaboration between the Roshan family’s Filmkraft Productions and Yash Raj Films (YRF), adding a new dimension to this iconic series.
