Rajpal Yadav Reacts After Bail in Rs. 9 Crores Cheque Bounce Case: “Your Support Has Been Great on Social Media”

Actor Rajpal Yadav spoke to ANI after being granted bail in the Rs 9 crores cheque bounce case related to his 2010 production venture. While he refrained from discussing legal details, directing such questions to his lawyer Bhaskar Upadhyay, Yadav reflected on his 30-year journey in Bollywood and expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support he has received.
If you want any legal information, you can ask our lawyer, Bhaskar Upadhyay. As for me, I have been in Mumbai and Bollywood for 30 years. I have connected with people of all ages—from children to the elderly—which has helped me make 250 films. This case dates back to 2012-13. In 2026, I have completed 250 films. Every citizen of India, from young to old, holds a special place in my heart and has supported me throughout.
The truth and my intentions have always been clear. Whatever the High Court has ordered over the last 10 years, I have complied and will continue to do so in the future. I cannot explain legal terms, so please consult Bhaskar. Your support on social media has been tremendous. Even those not on social media are my supporters. I believe around 150 million people have loved me from childhood to now.

So, we must have treated them well. I share an entertaining and heartfelt bond with everyone. Bollywood and the world’s love means a lot to me. If there is any accusation, I am fully available to face it anywhere. I thank the High Court for giving me a chance to be heard,” he said.
The case originates from a financial dispute over funds borrowed in 2010 for his directorial film Ata Pata Laapata.
Over time, the matter escalated into a cheque bounce case, with the outstanding amount reportedly increasing due to accrued interest and penalties.
Earlier this month, the High Court noted delays in settlement after Yadav surrendered and was briefly jailed. Following further hearings, he has now been granted bail. With the case ongoing, Rajpal Yadav reiterated his commitment to abide by court orders and be present as required.
