Rajinikanth’s Coolie Dominates, Leads War 2 by Rs. 70 Crores at Global Box Office

Rajinikanth continues to prove why he is a cinematic powerhouse. Since its Independence Day release, Coolie has surged ahead at the worldwide box office, establishing a commanding lead of Rs. 70 crores over War 2, the action-packed film starring Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr. With a day and a half left before release, Coolie has already amassed an extraordinary advance booking of Rs. 85 crores globally and is rapidly approaching the Rs. 100 crore mark from advance sales alone.
This phenomenal performance is rewriting box office records and setting new benchmarks that are expected to stand strong for years. The film’s massive lead over the Hrithik-NTR ensemble highlights Rajinikanth’s unparalleled pull and fan loyalty. In contrast, War 2, part of the YRF Spy Universe, has garnered only Rs. 15 crores in advance bookings worldwide, trailing far behind Coolie by a sizable Rs. 70 crore margin. The impressive advance bookings indicate a clear victory for Coolie in the worldwide box office race, as it will be an uphill battle for War 2 to close such a vast gap.
However, the real contest begins once both films officially release on Thursday. Positive word of mouth could potentially boost War 2’s box office numbers despite its slow start. Currently, the Hindi advance bookings for War 2 are just average, which has raised concerns. However, hopes are high that the Telugu advance bookings, which open today, will provide much-needed momentum and help War 2 generate stronger box office returns. Fans and industry watchers eagerly await how the Telugu market responds, as it could be a crucial factor in the film’s overall success.
As of now, Rajinikanth’s Coolie stands tall as the frontrunner in this high-stakes box office showdown! Stay tuned to know more about it only with us and if you have anything to share, do comment below.
