Raj Kundra was on alert when police busted the pornographic film ring in Mumbai in Feb; he got rid of his old phone in March

The investigation into Raj Kundra’s case is in full swing, with various files, servers, WhatsApp groups, and discussions being watched. Raj Kundra, according to a recent article in the Etimes, was expecting to be arrested and hence tossed away his old phone. According to Kundra, the police busting of the pornographic film business in Mumbai in February prompted him to remain on the lookout and get rid of his old phone in the month of March.

Kundra had a ‘plan B’ in place in case he was detained, according to the portal, in addition to tossing away his phone.

ANI quoted an official saying, “When crime branch officials asked him about his old phone, he told them he threw it away. Police believe that the old phone contains many important pieces of evidence and is looking for it.”

A few days ago, raids were carried out at Raj Kundra’s home and offices, and various documents and servers were taken. Apart from the documents recovered, he and his wife, actress Shilpa Shetty’s joint bank account is being investigated after questionable financial transactions were discovered.

“In the investigation, the crime branch has found transactions worth crores were done from the joint account of Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra. The crime branch suspects that the earnings from Hotshots and Bolly Fame apps used to come into this account,” officials told ANI.

Sherlyn Chopra, meanwhile, was summoned by the crime branch on Tuesday. Raj Kundra’s detention is coming to an end today, and his case will be heard in court today.
