Raid 2 Box Office: Ajay Devgn Surpasses Sunny Deol’s Jaat with 152% Higher Day 1 Sales, Sikandar Slips to #3

Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2 is making a significant impact at the box office, with opening day ticket sales indicating that the film is here to stay. On its debut, the drama surpassed the opening day ticket sales of every Hindi film released in 2024, except for Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava.
Ajay Devgn vs. Sunny Deol
The comparison is particularly relevant as Raid 2 premiered on a Thursday, just like Sunny Deol’s Jaat. However, Raid 2, directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, recorded 152% higher ticket sales on BookMyShow (BMS) compared to Jaat, which garnered 110,000 ticket sales on its opening day, April 10.
Raid 2 Day 1 Ticket Sales
On its opening day, May 1 (Thursday), Raid 2 achieved an impressive 278,000 ticket sales, outpacing every other Hindi film on BMS, though it fell short of Chhaava’s remarkable 669,000 sales. Nonetheless, it beat all other Hindi releases on their opening days!
