Rahul Vaidya’s Beeped Remark About Disha Parmar on Pati Patni Aur Panga 2 Sparks Backlash on Reddit

Singer Rahul Vaidya has found himself at the center of a major online controversy following a remark he made about his wife, Disha Parmar, on the celebrity reality show Pati Patni Aur Panga Season 2. Although the comment was bleeped out by the editors, the visible shock of the studio audience and the viral spread of the clip on Reddit have triggered widespread criticism from fans.

The reality show, hosted by Sonali Bendre and Munawar Faruqui, features celebrity couples competing in compatibility games. During a timed challenge, Rahul Vaidya, Vivek Dahiya, and Parmeet Sethi were asked questions about their wives, who were seated opposite them and used their husbands’ nicknames as buzzers.

The hosts posed a tricky question asking the men to list five things their wives used to do before marriage that they no longer do. After Disha buzzed in first, Rahul was tasked with answering. His response was immediately bleeped out, leaving the exact words a mystery, but the reaction on set was instantaneous. Co-contestant Archana Puran Singh looked completely shocked, while Mangal Lakshmi actress Deepika Singh remarked, “Allowed nahi hai TV pe bolna” (You are not allowed to say this on TV). Disha quickly intervened, telling him, “Arrey mat hi bolo kuch, galat hi bologe, aur kya. Abhi chup raho” (Don’t say anything at all, you will only say something wrong. Please keep quiet now).

The atmosphere on set quickly grew awkward, prompting co-contestant Arjun Bijlani to quip, “Phir bachhe kaise ho rahein hai” (How are you having kids then?). When Rahul attempted to deflect by claiming, “Logon ko meri personal life mein bahut interests hai” (People are very interested in my personal life), Arjun’s wife Neha Swamy sharply retorted, “Tu hi toh bata raha hai” (You are the one telling them).

A clip of the uncomfortable exchange quickly went viral on Reddit, where numerous users criticized the singer for making an inappropriate joke and disrespecting his wife on national television. Neither Rahul Vaidya nor Disha Parmar has issued a public statement regarding the online backlash.
