Pushpa 2: The Rule’ Box Office Day 4: Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s Film Makes History, Surpasses ₹800 Crore Globally in Opening Weekend

Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s much-anticipated film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ has made a spectacular debut at the global box office, shattering multiple records. Released during an extended 5-day weekend, the film has grossed over Rs 800 crore worldwide, setting new benchmarks for Indian cinema. Directed by Sukumar, ‘Pushpa 2’ recorded the biggest opening day for an Indian film, both domestically and internationally, and continued its momentum through the weekend, achieving the highest-ever opening weekend collection for an Indian title.

In its first three days, the film garnered an estimated Rs 387.95 crore in India. On Day 4, it added another Rs 141.50 crore, bringing its total domestic net to Rs 529.45 crore. The Hindi dubbed version led the charge, earning an impressive Rs 85 crore on Sunday, with an audience turnout of 84.25%. The film’s Telugu version contributed Rs 44 crore, while the Tamil version earned around Rs 9.5 crore. The collections from Malayalam and Kannada versions were estimated at Rs 1.9 crore and Rs 1.1 crore, respectively.Including Sunday’s figures, the film’s total collections for each dubbed version were astounding. The Hindi version alone amassed approximately Rs 285.7 crore, while the Telugu version followed closely with Rs 198.55 crore.

The Tamil version earned around Rs 31.1 crore, with Malayalam and Kannada collections at Rs 10.55 crore and Rs 3.55 crore respectively. In North America, ‘Pushpa 2’ stormed the box office with an estimated $10.50 million (around Rs 87 crore) during its extended opening weekend, ranking as the second-biggest opening weekend of 2024. With its historic debut, trade analysts predict that the film will likely cross the Rs 1000 crore mark within its first week, solidifying its status as a box office juggernaut.

As reported by the film’s production house, ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, the sequel to the 2021 Telugu blockbuster ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, reached the impressive Rs 500 crore mark on Saturday, making it the fastest Indian film to achieve this milestone. The highly anticipated second installment was released globally on Thursday, featuring dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali, and Malayalam. It premiered with a historic box office collection of Rs 294 crore gross on its opening day.
