The much-anticipated film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, featuring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, is enjoying a record-breaking performance at the box office. Following a significant increase in its earnings on its first Saturday, the film is making waves in the industry.

Record-Breaking Collections

According to early estimates from Sacnilk, ‘Pushpa 2’ achieved an impressive Rs 115 crore collection on Saturday alone. The Hindi version of the film is expected to record its highest earnings since release, with predictions of over Rs 70 crore net. On its third day, the film is set to surpass the single-day record previously held by Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’, which collected Rs 71.63 crore net on its first Sunday. Estimates suggest that Saturday’s collection for ‘Pushpa 2’ may reach between Rs 73 crore and Rs 75 crore, bringing its total Hindi collection to around Rs 200 crore net within just three days. By the end of its opening weekend, projections indicate that the film’s Hindi numbers could exceed Rs 270 crore net.

Regional Box Office Performance

The film is also performing well in regional markets. In Telugu-speaking states, Saturday’s gross collection is estimated to be between Rs 30-35 crore. In Tamil Nadu, it nearly matched its opening day figures with an estimated Rs 7.5 crore net and a gross collection of over Rs 10.5 crore. While Kerala experienced a slight decline with around Rs 2.15 crore gross, Karnataka reported a strong performance, with collections expected to hit Rs 11 crore gross.

Historic Milestones

The film’s producer announced that ‘Pushpa 2’ has grossed over Rs 500 crore in its first three days, making it the first Indian film to achieve this milestone. During a “success meet,” the producer highlighted the film’s impressive performance, projecting a growth of over 20% on its first Saturday compared to Friday, with an expected gross between Rs 135-140 crore. After a strong opening day of Rs 164.25 crore, the film saw a dip on Friday with an estimated Rs 93.8 crore across all languages, bringing the total domestic gross to over Rs 455 crore.
