Why Punjab bans the screen of MSG: Messenger of God ?

Why-MSG -messenger-of-God-Banned-in Punjab

Considering serious law and order issue in the state, the chief minister of Punjab- Mr. Parkash Singh Badal has put a ban on the screening of MSG: Messenger of God in his state. The decision has been taken after discussing with Government of India. He announced the decision in a press conference held in Sangat Darshan Programme Sangat Darshan programme of Lambi Assembly segment at Muktsar. He said since the movie is creating some serious law and order issues within Punjab, hence state is compelled to take such decision.

Considering the number of protests from states like Punjab and Haryana has made the CM to take this decision two days before. The movie featuring the chief of Dera Sacha Sauda popularly known as Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh causing the breach to peace has put forth the decision.  Even the state of Haryana too is witnessing similar kinds of protests at places like Sirsa and Hissar along with a number of places in Punjab as well. Despite getting cleared by Censor Board the movie was banned in Punjab, while similar demands are in air in Haryana. However, the fiasco of the chief of the board resigning along with nine other members leaving their positions too has helped garner an opposite vibe for the movie.
