Mom-to-be Alia Bhatt shares how she is spending her Diwali this year, and it is not what you think
B Town couples like Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, and Genelia Deshmukh and Riteish Deshmukh were spotted at Manish Malhotra’s Diwali celebration a few days ago. However, one of the most adorable couples in the industry Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor were not present at any of the events. Now Alia Bhatt has just updated her Instagram, revealing how she is celebrating Diwali this year!

Alia Bhatt is enjoying her first Diwali after her marriage, and fans were excited to see photos from Alia and Ranbir’s festivities. The actress, who is expecting her first child with Ranbir, just shared a photo of her day and appears to be celebrating Diwali in bed. Alia posted two photos on her Instagram account. The first is a photo from last year’s Diwali party that shows the actress holding a candle. She wore a royal blue lehenga and was dressed up for the celebration.
In sharp contrast to her Diwali photo from last year, the mom-to-be uploaded another photo from today, which shows her dressed simply in a t-shirt as she rests in bed with her cat Edward next to her. Alia captioned the photo, Alia wrote, “Happy Diwali from throwback me as current me is spending Diwali in bed love & light to all.” Check out her post below.
Alia Bhatt announced revealed that she is expecting her first child with Ranbir Kapoor in June. She captioned a photo of Ranbir taken during the sonography, “Our baby… coming soon.” Despite her pregnancy, the actress has been spotted actively promoting her film Brahmastra till last month.

Alia Bhatt will be seen next in Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa, with Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif. Along with Ranveer Singh, she has Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Alia will also make her Hollywood debut in the film Heart Of Stone, which also stars Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan.
