Priyanka Chopra’s Former NYC Restaurant Sona Announces Closure

Sona, the renowned New York City restaurant known for its modern Indian cuisine and elegant ambiance, is preparing to bid farewell. In an Instagram announcement, the restaurant, which quickly gained popularity as a celebrity hotspot, revealed that it will be closing its doors on June 30.
The official Instagram account of Sona shared the news, expressing gratitude to all the patrons who have visited over the past three remarkable years. The post read, “After more than three remarkable years, Sona will be closing. We have immense gratitude for everyone who walked through our doors. It’s been our greatest honor to serve you.” The announcement also mentioned that Sona’s final service will be a brunch on Sunday, June 30. Sona was co-founded by Priyanka Chopra and Maneesh Goyal in 2021. The restaurant’s grand opening was celebrated with a special ‘pooja’ attended by Priyanka and her husband, Nick Jonas. However, after almost two years, Priyanka decided to step away from the venture. According to People magazine, PeeCee ended her partnership with Sona in 2023.Representatives for Priyanka Chopra released a statement reflecting on her involvement with the restaurant: “Bringing Sona to life will invariably be a proud and significant moment in her career.
Priyanka has always endeavored to bring Indian culture to the forefront through storytelling, whether it’s engaging content for film and TV or a beautifully plated dish that embodies the haute cuisine of India. Although Sona is closing its doors, Priyanka Chopra continues to thrive in her career. Currently, she is busy shooting for her upcoming project, The Bluff, which has her fans eagerly awaiting its release.
