Priyanka Chopra Bags UNICEF’s Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award

Its a huge honor for Priyanka Chopra who has now become a global icon from India to get a prestigious award like UNICEF’s Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award. The Sky Is Pink actress was named for the said award by the UN’s body called Children’s Dun this year and now she has finally got it at the event organised at Snowflake Ball this Tuesday night. While talking about the same, she said giving back to the society is no more a matter of choice. She called giving back as the new way of life for her.

She said these words after getting the award at the great gala event of Philanthropist. The award was named after Danny Kaye, who happens to be an American actor and philanthropist. He was the first UNICEF’s Goodwill Ambassador. While sharing her views after accepting this award, she said she has started getting more time for volunteer work and finding more time to read and study.

She said it has helped me to get the chance to serve my nation for being a national ambassador of India and later after two years she turned the global ambassador for UNICEF. She added that her journey has been 13 years old. The award was given by a Veteran fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg who handed over the award to Pee Cee. She has been involved in UN projects for the last ten years and calls her journey to be fantastic. She said as she understood things, she started getting associated with causes and work.
