On Rishi Kapoor’s death anniversary Neetu Kapoor shares a heartfelt note, take a look!
It has been two years since the tragic death of famous actor Rishi Kapoor. On the second anniversary of his death, his wife Neetu Kapoor and daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni posted tributes to him on social media. Neetu tweeted a video of herself crying on stage as she remembered her 45-year companion. She described it as ‘difficult and painful’ losing him.
Taking to her Instagram handle, Neetu recalled Rishi Kapoor and wrote, “Today is two years since rishi ji left us … losing a partner of 45 years was difficult n painful at that time the only way to heal my heart was to keep myself mentally occupied .. Movie n television helped me achieve that rishiji will always be remembered n will stay in everyone’s heart forever.” She is seen becoming upset in the video and revealing that everyone she meets has a story about Rishi Kapoor that reminds her a lot of him.

Riddhima, on the other hand, shared a sweet childhood photo with her Papa on the second anniversary of his passing. A young Rishi Kapoor can be seen carrying his infant girl Riddhima in his arms in the childhood photo. Sharing the photo, Riddhima captioned it with one word, ‘Papa’, and a heart.

In various interviews, Neetu Kapoor has stated that following the death of late Rishi Kapoor, her children Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima pushed her to return to work. She stated that they uplifted her to return to the sets and work after Rishi Kapoor’s death.
Rishi Kapoor had been battling cancer for nearly two years and was receiving treatment in New York. In 2019, he returned to India and resumed work. In 2020, however, his health deteriorated, and he died on April 29, 2020. Sharmaji Namkeen, his final film, was published on Amazon Prime Video on March 31.
