Prime Video’s “Superboys of Malegaon” Selected for 49th Toronto International Film Festival

Prime Video made an exciting announcement on Tuesday, revealing the exclusive world premiere of their highly anticipated Original movie, Superboys of Malegaon, at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in 2024. This gala event, taking place on September 13, will treat audiences to the first screening of the film. Superboys of Malegaon boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Adarsh Gourav, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Shashank Arora in lead roles. Set in Malegaon, a small town in Maharashtra, India, the film draws inspiration from real events. Superboys of Malegaon revolves around the life of Nasir Shaikh, an aspiring filmmaker from Malegaon.
In this town, where residents seek solace from the monotony of daily life through Bollywood cinema, Nasir embarks on a mission to create a film by the people of Malegaon, for the people of Malegaon. With his group of friends, Nasir breathes new life and hope into the town, resulting in a poignant and uplifting exploration of the intersection between filmmaking and friendship.The Toronto International Film Festival, scheduled from September 5 to 15 this year, is renowned for showcasing a diverse range of international cinema, offering transformative experiences for cinephiles.
