The release of trailers & promos of the most awaited movie – Prem Ratan Dhan Payo starring Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor embarked in the media, it has simply raised the expectation of the audience. In fact, Sooraj Barjatya of Rajshree Productions and Salman Khan has come together after 16 long years since they made the film – Hum Sath Sath Hain. People are seen in great with the larger than life cinematography, which come along with massive sets, good star cast and colourful vibe seen across the sets, which one cannot miss. Thus to expect something big from the film in terms of box office collection can be huge.
The cost of the film tolls to around 60 crores, while 20 crores have been invested over the P&A. As this film is from Sooraj Barjatya, Salman has not charged a penny to him, while the filmmakers have already collected 57 crores by selling music and satellite rights. As far as the trade pundits are concerned, the reunion of Salman & Sooraj always has created fire in box office in the past, hence, unlike the past, with Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, one can expect a good collection at the end of the day.
Salman is likely to break the record of his previously released blockbuster called Bajrangi Bhaijaan. It is a quintessential family movie fit for all the ages to catch unlike the previous ones. Hence getting 30 plus crores on the release day is no surprise. Considering the holiday of Diwali at most of the place in India, there is a huge amount of crowd being attracted to the screens with this film. It will not be a surprise to see the film entering the 100 crore club after the end of the first weekend.
