Prakash Jha’s Producer-Daughter Dishaa Jhaa Confirms: Aashram 4 and Raajneeti 2 in the Works, Janadesh Aims for Theatrical Release
In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, Dishaa Jhaa, producer and daughter of filmmaker Prakash Jha, confirmed exciting updates about upcoming projects. The web series Sanakalp recently premiered on Amazon MX Player on March 11, and Dishaa shared insights about producing this ambitious series, working alongside Nana Patekar and her father—whom she respectfully calls “sir.”
Reflecting on her early experiences, Dishaa fondly recalled working on the sets of the multi starrer Raajneeti (2010). “That was a long time ago! The shoot was fun but challenging with so many actors and large crowds. We had to prepare everyone daily. Thankfully, the actors were very easygoing, and we often hung out between takes,” she said.
She also spoke about her time working with Amitabh Bachchan on Satyagraha (2013). “Dad shares a great rapport with Mr. Bachchan, and they stay in touch. As an assistant director, I was always star-struck whenever he arrived on set. He was truly a delight to work with,” she added.When asked about upcoming projects,
Dishaa confirmed, “Aashram 4 is currently in production, and we are also developing Raajneeti 2. Several other films and productions are underway as well.”On the cast of Raajneeti 2, she said, “The script is still being written.

Once finalized, we will decide on the cast. It’s too early to share details, but I can confirm the film is definitely happening.”Dishaa also updated on Janadesh, starring Rahul Bose, Tusshar Kapoor, Ishwak Singh, and Pragati Srivastava. “We have wrapped shooting, and post-production is ongoing.
We hope to release it this year but still need to finalize studio partnerships.” She added, “Sir wants a theatrical release. Although the cast isn’t as large as in his previous films, if the opportunity arises, we will definitely bring it to cinemas.” Stay tuned to know more about it and others only with us.
