It seems that the visit to JNU campus on Tuesday for Deepika Padukone is costing her dearly. After getting condemned by the leading party officials for her visit to the premises to the pro-government supporters, she has also bagged subtle support from within and outside her B Town fraternity and it is seen growing at a good pace as well. We saw #BoycottChhapaak trending in social media with the pro-right-wing groups agitating against her on Twitter.
But soon as things still remain in the mess, we see Government of India officials also removing one of the videos of Deepika Padukone for Skill India Campaign for acid attack survivors. At one end, when she is getting support from her friends and fans in B Town with Hashtag #ISupportDeepika from celebs like Anurag Kashyap, Swara Bhasker, Richa Chadha, Sonakshi Sinha, and Anubhav Sinha all coming forward and taking her side.
It seems unfair to see that her visit to meet the injured students was seen as an anti-national activity as yelled by the right-wing pro groups and elements. The removal of the promotional video having Deepika Padukone from PM Modi led government’s skill development ministry promotional campaign for acid attack survivors speaks a lot about the biases against the actress. The said video was produced Skill India Program initiated by GOI which talks about the equal opportunities for acid attack survivors.

The official from the ministry taking care of the campaign informed that the video was to be released on Wednesday but the series of incident against the actress has kept things on hold. It was the ministry who approached team Chhapaak to produce such video for their skill India program but with things turning violent the other day, the video is currently under evaluation.
