Poonam Sood is a glamour sensation from Punjab and was born in Ludhiana. She is an actor mostly seen in Punjabi Cinema apart from a couple of music album from the regional cinema. She did her schooling from Guru Nanak Public School, Ludhiana and later went to do her college from Khalsa College of Women, Sidhwan Khurd, Punjab. She also did some advanced course in animations and computers from the institute Azad Multimedia. She then headed to Mumbai to pursue her career of modeling and then joined a couple of groups to walk a number of ramps apart from doing a couple of commercial ad films as well.
Besides, she also joined a theatre group and then joined am acting and theatre group to learn and groom her acting skills. Soon she got the chance to work to sing with different music directors in Punjabi Cinema. She then did a couple of music albums as well, which gave her recognition in the media. She then got the chance to act in a number of Punjabi movies, which include Mere Yaar Kamine and Yaar Annmalle. Her debut in B Town started with the film called Rapist followed by another called Kurafati.
