Police arrested Poonam Pandey’s husband Sam Bombay after she accused him of assault; actress hospitalised!
Poonam Pandey has accused her husband, Sam Bombay, of beating her. The Mumbai Police allegedly arrested Sam Bombay on Sunday. According to the media reports Sam had been booked after Poonam filed a complaint against him. She is reportedly admitted to a hospital after filing the complaint. The actress has suffered injuries on her head, eyes, and face.
ANI shared a statement of Mumbai police on their official social media handle that read, “Actress Poonam Pandey’s husband Sam Bombay was arrested yesterday in Mumbai after the actress complained that he assaulted her. Poonam Pandey was admitted to a hospital: Mumbai Police.” As per the information, the Mumbai police is currently investigating the matter.
The news agency added in another follow-up tweet, “The case has been registered against Sam Bombay under the sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC). The actress has suffered serious injuries on her head, eyes and face.”
This isn’t the first time this has happened that Poonam Pandey accused her husband of assaulting her. She filed a case in Goa in September, just days after their wedding, alleging that Sam had molested, threatened, and abused her. The Goa police arrested Sam Bombay after receiving the complaint, but he was allegedly freed on bail the next day. Poonam then announced that she was divorcing her husband.
Times Of India had quoted Poonam as saying, “He choked me and I thought I was going to die. He punched me in my face, pulled me by my hair, and banged my head against the corner of the bed. He knelt on my body, pinned me down, and assaulted me.”
“This time, I don’t plan to go back to him. I don’t think it’s a smart idea to return to a person, who has beaten you up like an animal, without even thinking of the consequence. In a bid to save our relationship, I have suffered a lot. I prefer being single to in an abusive relationship. I have decided to end our marriage. It’s about time I moved on,” she added.
For the uninitiated, Poonam Pandey and Sam Bombay wedded in a secret ceremony on September 1 after two years of living together.
