PM Narendra Mod Biopic is Banned by EC till general elections

modi banned

Amidst all the controversy and preparation for releasing the film PM Narendra Modi, the makers had to face a big jolt by the Election Commission when it finally banned the release of the film in the theatres. The EC said that the film will be banned until the general elections come to an end. Hence all the efforts of the makers seem to have gone astray to release the film on 11th May amidst the first phase of elections to start in the country.

Ever since the release of the film was preponed, the film has been making headlines for all wrong reasons. There has been many objections raised by the opposition party Congress regarding the timing of the release calling it to be a propaganda film. The Election Commission has considered the plea of the opposition asking the makers not to release the film seems to be promoting the ruling party and the PM.

The other objections that was raised included the MNS that claimed that the Censor Board chief has been favouring the film by giving it special treatment by clearing the movie with the certificate in just one week. Ever since the EC has banned the film, the people at Twitter has trolled the actor and the makers. Someone called that the film would flop as a naive actor playing the great actor of Indian Politics. Someone shared photos of Vivek Oberoi coming out in a stretcher and so on.
