The Biopic on PM Modi starring Vivek Oberoi has been constant in the headlines, all thanks to the objection raised on the timing of its release and other issues. The film is at the centre of controversy allowing the EC to push the release date, while on the other side the film is yet to get the certificate from the Censor Board. Prasoon Joshi, the chief of Censor Board, said that the film is under the process of getting the certificate and since the timing of its release was questioned violating the code of conduct, the release got delayed.
There have been loads of queries about the certification of the movie said the Censor Board chief and then said he has to give the right picture about the film, which makes the certification process time-consuming. You need to follow certain guidelines before the film is sent out for the certification and this process takes time claimed Joshi. Yesterday, the makers claimed that the film is pushed forward indefinitely, while others claim that the film will release next Friday. However, as per the tweets of the opposition leader, the Supreme Court has given a hearing date, which is on 8th April.
On the other side, the courses in MP and Bombay have denied putting a ban on the release so all eyes are on the Supreme Court decision, which is supposed to be taken on 8th April. Vivek Oberoi is playing the character of PM Modi, while the film is directed by the Mary Kom fame director, Omung Kumar, whereas Suresh Oberoi the father of Vivek Oberoi has produced this film. The opposition calls the film as bogus with a flop actor doing the lead role and has also reported the matter to the Election Commission for violating the code of conduct by releasing the film just before the Lok Sabha elections.
