#Plants4SSR: Sushant Singh Rajput dreamt of planting 1000 trees, his fans planted more than 1 lakh, says sister Shweta
Sushant Singh Rajput’s US-based sister, Shweta Singh Kirti, had requested his fans, who’ve joined her in campaigning for justice for the actor’s death case, to plant trees over the weekend in memory of her brother, who had dreamed of planting at least a 1000 tress in his lifetime, and the response was overwhelming. With more than one lakh tress being planted as a mark of remembrance. Expressing her gratitude towards all those who partook in the #Plants4SSR campaign, Shweta shared a beautiful video and wrote on her official Instagram handle: “#Plants4SSR. More than 1 lakh trees were planted across the globe. #Plants4SSR Thank you so much for making it happen.”
The over 2-minute video shows several people from all parts of the world planting trees in Sushant Singh Rajput’s memory, including the likes of his former girlfriend, Ankita Lokhande, who’s been a staunch supporter of the actor’s family in their legal tussle with Rhea Chakraborty. Ankita, too, has shared a pic of herself posting a sapling on Sunday, 13th September, along with a caption that read: “Hatchi and mamma. My partner In almost everything. Planting plants. It’s our way to remember him by fulfilling his dream. #plants4SSR .”
In an earlier post, urging fans to participate in the campaign, the Pavitra Rishta actress had written: “Sabko message do, plants lagao. Sushant ki 50 dreams mein se ek dream yeh tha ki woh 1000 plants lagane aur yeh meine apne taraf se shuruwaat ki hai aur I hope sab plants lagae (Tell everyone to plant plants. It was one of Sushant’s 50 dreams, and I’ve tried to contribute from my side, and I hope others participate as well).”
